Yeah, a real wasteland.

I doubt that anything on this website is going to cause a run on housing in any state

FAA has no regs against landing or taking off from a spot other than a airport. If they did we would all be violated. As far as carless and reckless they could say that about any one who has landed on a gravel bar, ridge top, or dagged his wheels in the water on landing or take off.

This thread makes me happy that i live and fly in Eastern Colorado. Out here the view is not picturesque, but the law officers are pretty willing to help. I know most of them on a first name basis, for good reasons, and the local state patrolman is the one who taught me off airport landings/TO.

Kneel,
Having spent a few summers in and around Wray, I think your views are just fine! It's just a different picturesque  Your local trooper still got the t-cart?

Take care, Rob

Yep, for Eastern CO, Wray is about as picturesque as it gets. Nice apt too.

Rob,
yep, he still has the t-cart. That is the plane that i got my TW endorsement in. The view isn't magazine material, but that is just fine with me(less people=more fun). Besides i do like the view, i just tell everyone it is not that great.
