I've been surprised to have a few people from Wisconsin track me down via BCP. And very pleasantly surprised to have Sophis walk up to me on a ramp in rural Wisconsin after having landed because he heard my "orange and tan Maule" in the area. See, position calls aren't useful for just safety.

So, are there any BCPers in the greater Chicago area? I'm in town for a bit if anyone wants to get together.

You reminded me of how nice it is to have a "Full Size" panel in a side by side aircraft! My tandem aircraft is a struggle to get, even a, basic VFR panel onboard, with the limited forward space available.
