I will be giving the physical a shot. As I said, I had my nose completely cut off in december. I have had 3 operations and 1 left to go. I almost died as I take blood thinner and I had to go once to ER and almost blead to death. It left me very weak, that with hideing out all winter as to not scare kids! I am a lot better now, and look semi-ok. I need to build my strength back before I try.
I just dont think a underpowered plane here in the mountains of utah would be safe for my fat ass. I really dont want to fly under sport pilot rules or planes, when I have the perfect plane already to explore my area.
I do have a few good stories to tell about my misadventures from 30 years ago, but afraid it would show my stupidity and dont know if some pencil necked examiner from the FAA would hold them against me! I totaled a tri-pacer years ago etc.
I also worked at lockheed for 35 years in security and knew just about all the test pilots in those days. Guys like "fish" salmon, tony levier, gary powers, etc.
I owned a metalised tri-pacer before the citaberia, have time in luscombe, 150, americans & chetta etc.
Most of my puny 400 hours are in the citaberia and tri-pacer. And that spread over a number of starts & stops. I do have my private license but last physical and bi annual was over 10 years ago.
Hope I can get flying again.
