Looks like these guys had a forced landing, good on them for putting it down with minimal damage. That last bit though where you see nothing but dirt... I don't ever want to see that!

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
Job well done I'd say, looks like they were quick to be found before the wildlife got em!

That was a pretty convenient place to have an engine failure.
The dirt in the windshield is not as bad as the sound that comes with it. Sort of like when your lawn mower whacks a high spot. Since they were not making power they didn't get full effect.

Looks like they were doing fine until they hit a soft sand area, one of the risks of any landing on any sandbar, I suppose, regardless of whether it's in a trike or a tail-dragger.

Bushwheels probably wouldn't have nosed over. I can hear them boys now.
Look you ran out of gas on the left tank. Switch tanks and lets go home. Do you think the rental place will know if we wipe the sand off the blade?

Call me cynical but that looks staged to me.
Once the action of landing ends (with the nose hitting the ground) the passenger conveniently turns the camera to shoot the action inside the cockpit since there's nothing interesting going on outside anymore.
The pilot also conveniently removes the camera and holds in in just the right position to capture him shaking hands with the passenger who reaches back into the airplane at just the right moment.
Now with the above in mind, the pilot had previously reached for the camera then stopped, pulled back and got a shot of him showing relief that the landing went well before stretching back to get the camera.
My take is that these two are attention seekers looking for their 15 minutes of fame and maybe making a few bucks on the talk circuit. But that's just my humble opinion.
