Re: Concorde Flies Again?

Those things were turkeys from day one. At least the Russians were smart enough to ditch their SST project early on......

Great way to burn through thousands of tons of jet fuel, while blasting a tiny cramped cabin through the air at high speed.

If you want an SST, design a new one, don't resurrect one of these things.

Opinion.

Re: Concorde Flies Again?

Super Cool,

I was sad when they announced they would stop flying.

Any airplane that gets a new lease on life is a good thing! :D

Or you could go the route of waiting 20-50 years for a new design that would haul more people and be more fuel efficient etc etc etc.

Of course most of us won't be around to see that!

Still one of the most beautiful aircraft to ever grace the burning blue... 8)

Re: Concorde Flies Again?

Or maybe not.

French government says the Concordes are not for sale for any amount.

Perhaps surrender one to the Germans then?
