Conditions are just right in my backyard for playing

Soft sand can be tough to negotiate if you ain't careful. You can't just ride the brakes to hold the tail up as you do on hard surface or as you will see you will brake through and almost put it on the nose. Was going to blast off without my usual shut down and inspect the area after landing a new spot. The little snafu in the turn around reminded me that I have a rule to do that for a reason. Good thing my little wind maker is on the wrong end huh?

Woo hoo! I never thought of that advantage for a pusher =D>

I like your roll up shade cloth on the sides, I use something similar in my crane cab.

Last week, landing on a rocky gravel bar, I heard a bang on takeoff. Back in the hangar I see one of my lower stainless hor stab rods got whacked a bit, a gentle straightening made it right.

34 years earlier, on maybe the very same bar (I can't recall exactly, the same area though), in my pusher ultralight, I caught a rock in the prop on takeoff and aborted, and then had to swim across the Snake River to get help (pre cell phone of course), fun stuff!

Ouch.....had to be a large rock , Also, amazing how much speed trash can develop coming off the wheels.
My son uses my runway as a driving range ,landed one day, touched down on top of one of the balls he forgot. That one cost me a prop !
