Re: Cool Camera

Hey Tom - the inertial reel is a big improvement for pulling flaps. My panel is vertical and closer (due to use of Milloway's glareshield) so I don't have to reach for any part of it, but flaps for sure. If you remove the plastic cover it shouldn't interfere too much with a custom bolt (??)

Re: Cool Camera

The newer generation Montague folding mountain bikes have a kind of frame socket that engages a dog when the bike is in use, so its real structural. This steel bracket that I made engages that socket perfectly, its like Randy at Rans got together with Mr. Montague to optimize this. I can't move it's location, but can figure out a way to move the inertial reel a bit. You'll notice I don't use the Rans supplied closure over the rear control cables, the bike rear wheel is jammed back there when carried in flight, again the bike fits so well its uncanny, no interference with crucial control cables while also fitting in the plane in the most compact way possible. When on long solo XC's carrying the bike is so huge of an advantage I can't imagine flying without it anymore!

Re: Cool Camera

My brother has a GoPro HD on order, which should be here today actually. Hopefully I'll get to play around with it soon and give some feedback.

It's my understanding that on the CMOS camera's you're still going to get warped props, regardless of the fps.

Here's a video I just finished putting together, with the exception of the still frames, it was shot with a Canon Vixia HF100. Be sure you watch it in HD.

Enjoy,

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.
