Life is good. Life is better with wings.

I'll go. What time you figure on being there? It looks like the fog will own the early morning.

It'll take me about 2.5 hours from Corvallis. I'll shoot for getting there about 1000. Except for pisscall, I'll fly up the valley, then over. I'd prefer to gas up after Copalis, so I'll be light. Probably just see you there.

Copalis

Would love to go but not going to be able to.

Have a look here:

http://adds.aviationweather.gov/metars/

You might want to check Shelton as well as Hoquiam

This site is a good place to look for relative humidity trends:

http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/sew/observations.php

The beach got reshaped a little this winter.

If you approach along the river from the South you will be lined up on the long part of the beach aiming just left of the big rocks off shore and you can easily be stopped before any logs or rocks.

Have fun.

Hmmmm. I was going to fly some crane parts down to Longview today and had a rough run-up...must be a plug. If I can get it resolved in the morning, I will try and meet up with you. Sounds like fun!

Beach Trip

Rob:

Did you make it to the beach? Plane just got first coat of white on it today and looks great. Friday it gets the trim stripes. Now if I could magically make the wings ready I could fly with you next week. If all goes well maybe we'll be flying again by November. I'll be gone on vacation next week but hopefully we can get together when I get back.

Steve, hi. No didn't make Copalis. Yes on lunch when you get back. I had a good lunch with dokmow. He has a nice M5. We are going to land at your house and see your project in the near future. Hopefully I'll do Copalis next Wed. I think the tide and fog will work with a 5pm low tide.

Cheers...Rob
