Was razor clam season open? I've never seen more than maybe half a dozen airplanes there at one time otherwise.

No, thankfully.
I cannot imagine adding clammers with buckets wandering around to the mix of Zeniths, Cherokees, Pacers, various other makes and models flying into or over the beach.

Just saw on another site that it was a FATPNW facebook get-together.
So far I've successfully avoided (for various reasons) getting involved with facebook, which explains why I didn't hear about it.
Have you never been there when clamming's open, Tom? You're right, it can be a madhouse.
I was on final to land south one time, when a little family crossed the beach in front of me. Right about where I intended to touch down, they stopped so that Dad could point up at me and tell Jr "look at the airplane". You'd think that with about 25 airplanes parked on the beach, he'd have some sort of idea that I was landing-- it's unbelievable how stupid some people can be.

That's pretty cool. Always wanted to land there, just haven't gotten around to it. Maybe this will be the year!
