Copalis Spring kick-off

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Copalis Spring kick-off

The group Flights Above the Pacific Northwest (FATPNW) hosted a fly-in at what might be the only sanctioned beach airport in the United States. Copalis Beach is Washington State Airport S16, and a gaggle of us flew in for a fine Saturday gathering to officially launch the 2016 flying season although most of us were flying all winter long. It was a pretty sweet day with about 50 aircraft showing up.

Very cool. My Grandson had his C150 in that gaggle somewhere.

Re: Copalis Spring kick-off

I know Tom D, but wasn't with him yesterday. I flew my Maule in from Port Townsend. I didn't stay at the beach for long because of other commitments, but I enjoyed what little time I had. Since folks were all milling around, I never knew who was with what plane. I wish I'd had more time to figure all of that out.
