So far very easy, fun trip, And in 3 days .
I knew the last leg was going to be the most challenging.
Took the California central valleyVFR on top at 8500ft, then under the overcast at 4500 ft.
Decided to fly over the Golden gate bridge, so we flew west, just when we saw the bridge weather got real bad real quick, we were not able to fly over it and landed at an airfield in Marine county. Waied, went for lunch, waited some more and the weather improved.
Flew past redding and started to follow I 5 north, low clouds covering the peaks of the mountains, starting to become a scud run.
I have done it before but in places I know, so decided to turn around and park the plane at Redding airport.
Plan B was if we get stuck my copilot friend will send his Pilatus PC12 to the rescue, so he did asked his pilot to come puck us up and fly us to Renton.( cannot ask for a better backup)
Now waiting for the weather to get better and go pick the airplane.
Hopefully this weekend, and since the Pilatus has gone back to Florida, looking for a ride.(pay for fuel)
