Re: Creswell, OR PA-28 missing

This is strange to me. I don't remember the Wx being bad. For the most part- between 61S to VUO it is hard to be far from open farmland.

Re: Creswell, OR PA-28 missing

"...PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - The pilot and sole occupant of a small plane missing on a flight through Oregon's Willamette Valley has been identified as a Vancouver, Washington, man bound for his hometown.

Authorities on Thursday identified the pilot as 41-year-old Lee Leslie. He was headed to Pearson Field in Vancouver..."

there was thought to be ELT signal from a plane. but was a dead end, so still no plane.

Also KEZI News on the TV said that the plane dropped off radar 15min after takeoff.
Where he just bought the plane... :(

Bad.
Not real familiar with that area but Harrisburg is a bit west of I5, right? So is Mt Tom being only 9 east actually in the Cascades (foothills) or is it kind of free-standing in the Willamette Valley?
