Re: Curious for a critique...

NFL style would be very cool, but since we're talking back country flying, Sam Elliott would be awesome *and* he's still alive. I wonder if he's a pilot looking to give back to the community Harrison Ford style...

most of the stuff capable of carrying any sort of load are mostly modular. the brain for the hex here is a DJI wookong. the rest is a variety of motors and parts the arms are off a 450 I don't really recall the gimble but its a starter/cheap unit that fits in the Maule. Sorry for the ambiguity, but its just soooo many different pieces put together.

Can't resist...every time I'd ask my father for a critique, he would invariably reply, "get a haircut!"

Re: Curious for a critique...

There's no way that was an AR Drone! I'm interested in knowing what it is to. Also, I'd love to know what camera you had on the drone and how you mounted it.

I think the narration was overall well done. One random critique that I have, and it's weird, is that your fast motion pans in the intro are very nice, but you should change them up left-to-right. It will liven it up a little. I would probably like a few more shots from the planes perspective.

Re: Curious for a critique...

I didn't hear anything wrong with the narration, "attempting to claw" notwithstanding. Reading from a script or at least from notes is pretty mandatory unless you are already an experienced public speaker. I have attended too many seminars where the note-less speaker made himself sound clue-less too, with a bunch of "uhs" to fill in the gaps while he tried to think of the next thng to say.
Good job, learnto!
