I saw it fly on floats at the fly in one year. The film doesn't do it justice.

Tom, you think they would be for sale? I know it's crazy to even consider it, but I do have a C-47 and a seaplane rating!!

I don't know the full story, someone here might. The last landing the DC-3 made on floats at the runway the floats were damaged. I believe one of the props was indexed wrong, causing the plane to crab when the throttles were pulled into beta. This caused the nose gear to collapse on one of the floats.
These floats were never certified by the FAA and there were only 3 set made to my knowledge.

That's a shame. I know it makes no sense to put floats on my C-47, but having one would be the ultimate wet dream ( pun intended!)
