Re: Destination Trip from PSC

I second what some of the guys said above-have several possible plans.

One of the best trips I took last year I planned on going to the San Juans (great camping on the airport on Orcas Island at Eastsound) and 8 hours before I was to depart came up with an alternate plan to go to the Oregon coast (Tillamook, camping at Nehalem Bay-Manzaneta, then second day up the coast stopping at several airports to Copalis and back to YKM via Tacoma) due to weather in the SEA area.

Bottom line is I learned that it is best to be very flexible and also find a local pilot to ask where all the "good" spots are.

I agree as well. I got a few planned, but thats the one as of now.
If this one doesnt work, well go to San Juans seeing as maybe the other side is good, or
Over to the beach and down, Canon Beach area, or Maybe over to Idaho.

Plans are wide open. Only thing I got is a reservation in Bend for the night holding me to that plan. I got a good cancelation notice for it and can cancel within 24 hours.

Thanks for all the info. keep it coming.

Re: Destination Trip from PSC

Aviation and business have taught me to abide by a strict policy of rigid flexibility.

I would reserve the plane and nothing else.

From PSC, I would recommend the San Juan Islands. Plenty of awesome locals to explore, and the island life is something to be experienced. Traveling by airplane takes the hassle out of getting there. Plus nothing like island hopping to show the wife the benefits of GA.

Enjoy.

I concur but McMennamins is a hot ticket supposedly, I called a month in advance and only one room left. Only thing I got reserved, and the plane of course.
