I flew over the hill to Northern California to fly with Jake Bunting and his crew. It was an awesome place to fly, I will be going back very soon.

Some great hill and slope action, drone shot I take it? Very nice.......Flat ground is so boring, after playing on the slopes!

Great video! Seeing the J-3's out mixing it up with the bush birds makes me smile.

Excellent! Most of the flying I've done hasn't ventured any further north than Chico. Time to go exploring! Thanks for sharing!

Steve, Let me know when you are heading up there. I'd love to have any excuse to go back. Mike

Mike, I'd love to head up that way, but probably won't anytime soon. Last time I was up near that area I was bumming a ride with a buddy of mine in his Citabria. Unfortunately I'm still officially a student pilot. Hopefully that'll change later this year.

Way too fun. Watching how quickly your tails come up just makes me realize how heavy my Maule is. With the 180 on the nose it takes a long time to get the speed, or the thrust to lift my tail. I have a great useful load, but not ideal rough, or short field capability. Sigh.

Love the drone photography, it's really amazing what kind of shots and creativity those little things open up. Great flying as well, really fun video.
