Digital Cameras

Whoever took the pictures of the Husky particularly on the picture on the step, what type of camera did you use. I was struck by the crispness of your pictures even while moving. My digital doesn't appear to have a fast enough shutter, or the greatest focus.

In my opinion, action shots with all cameras, including digitals, are best accomplished using the active auto-focus lock. You hold the button half way down, track your subject(the auto focus is constantly readjusting while the button is half way down), then depress the button the rest of the way when you want to take the shot. Works great with my Canon Powershot A80, especially for skiing shots.

The Husky "on the step" shot was taken with a Sony Cyber-shot 5.0 DSC-V1. (It has the Zeiss lens) This is an excellent camera for these kind of shots but if I bought another one today it would be its 7.0 Meg big brother. (I've really enjoyed shooting that one)

I like the digital SLR's (either Canon or Nikon) but for a small camera to handle in the airplane (while flying) it's hard to beat the Sony. Zane's Canon is a good one as well. In this shot I actually handed the camera back to a friend of mine and told him what I was looking for and when to shoot. He did great!
