Double Ender

The latest issue of Sport Aviation has a titillating article about the Double Ender, that weird push-me/pull-you STOL plane that has been in some You Tube videos recently. The article also mentions that the some of the Valdez STOL competitors will be doing demos at Oshkosh this year. Sounds like fun. The Double Ender is still a work in progress, but it sounds like one of their goals is to make 1, or 2 kits. They are claiming TO&L in 120 feet fully loaded, with a useful load of about 1,000 pounds. That's pretty darned impressive!

What might be even more impressive is getting 1000 lbs of load in that thing since there doesn't seem to be anywhere other than the gas tanks and the seats to put it...
