Re: Doughnuts

I like how they took Bobby Breeden’s video, laid some canned music on top, and slapped their logo on there!

Do you have a link to the original? I can edit to post that instead.

About 1:11 in the video. Seems like I remember there being a standalone version of the donuts scene, but it was a while back.

Best I can do is what Zane gave you.

By the way, my incredulity wasn’t directed at you in the slightest! Those Facebook “like” and “share” collecting machines drive me bananas. Not a lick of original content on any of them that I’ve seen.

Re: Doughnuts

I didn't think it would happen so soon after the bush pilot thread, but here I am again having to straighten out misconceptions and provide a good example of donuts.

Now Bobby is a good friend of mine, and I guess to some him doing donuts in a cub seems pretty amazing, but amongst real bush pilots it's just kind of ho hum. especially when you've experienced REALLY AMAZING donuts.

The truly amazing donuts, in fact I'll propose the best donuts I've ever seen in the world (and my friends know I travel the world looking for amazing donuts) are actually these. Any other donuts are, well, poser donuts.

Moose is Loose in Soldotna. Can my fellow Kenai Peninsula pilots (and folks that have partaken of these) give me a big Amen!

Re: Doughnuts

Immature and TOTALLY the right thing to do.

Were you doing anything with the ailerons to reduce the chances of catching a wingtip?

In lighter snow, about 2" of powder I did the same sort of thing with my trigear. Lock the brakes full rudder and ailerons into the turn and gas it.

Stupid fun. Not recommended. :D

Ok, I gotta call you on your Donuts Phil, they may be good and they sure do look good but here in Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and Plainwell Michigan we have Sweetwater Donuts, they are the best I ever had and my belly size will confirm. :D

Re: Doughnuts

Soaringhiggy, they are called roadkill up here, nothing but sugar! Speaking of roadkill, I lived in Tennessee when they legalized picking it up, taking it home and eating it. And I did that once. Does that make me a hillbilly?

Kurt, I might have to take on with belly size. You know, I got me a treadmill, a rower, and a stair stepper and I actually use them, a lot. Belly doesn't seem to be getting much smaller. Someone told me I have to stop eating donuts. I figured he was communist.

If I'm ever back in Michigan I'll check out Sweetwater.

Mountain Doctor, what are you doing talking about airplanes in the middle of a donut thread, you trying to hijack it?

You are wrong Phil. Everyone knows the Crooked Creek store has the best donuts. Anyone traveling up to Alaska should really try them...

Thanks for sharing, sweet video. I guess I don't feel too bad reposting since it's from 2015.

I'll take you up on the, except since my donuts will be a day or two old you'll have to purchase yours at the same time so its a fair test. Hows that sound.

You're licking your chops at that basket back there, aren't you? Thinking how you can weave one just like it?
