Drooping ailerons - Robertson STOL and Others?

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Re: Drooping ailerons - Robertson STOL and Others?

I'm sure that this comment isn't true of many of the folks here, but many times people seek mechanical improvements when what they really need is better piloting. When I partnered in a TR182, my pard wanted to put a Robertson kit on it so that he could visit patients at some of the ranches in the county. But what he really needed to do was slow his approach speed down to a reasonable speed--he was regularly using 80 knots. I have a long story to describe how I persuaded him not to have the RSTOL kit installed, but suffice to say, by the time I spent some time with him on airspeed control, it just wasn't necessary.
