Another one of these posts, I'm flying to Portland from Durango and never done it before. Anything I need to see or do on the way? I'm working in downtown Portland, any advice on airports and FBO's nearby? Anyone got a grass strip near downtown with cheap avgas and free tie downs, with a bus stop?
Any and all advice is welcomed, thanks.

Might be out of the way. But Gooding, Idaho (KGNG) had Avgas @ $4.51 a gallon last Thursday.

I like Lenhardts Airport ( 7S9) Listed under Hubbard, out of Canby, Or. Grass strip tiedowns or hangars, and fuel. They have a pilots coffee every Friday morning at 10:00. They like tailwheels and rag wings. I am at S49 now stop by if you are close. Welcome to backcountry pilots. Bob
