Episode 3 - Challenge Island

I took a break this last week from working on the website to edit some footage I had from a couple months ago. Some may recall the thread that this comes from. I think it's time for some better camera stabilization gear-- you have to be a Jedi to hold a long lens still.

Caution for sensitive ears: Profanity contained in the dialogue. Don't watch with your kids unless you're all comfortable with 4-letter words.

Take your pick:

"Challenge Island" in HD on Vimeo or Youtube.

Really nice work, Zane. The subject matter, the videography, and, especially, the editing and finish quality of the final product. =D>

Definitely a step above what most of us amateurs are doing out here, hashing clips together.

Re: Episode 3 - Challenge Island

Thanks everyone. Really stoked to make more and step up my game. I like coming at it from a storytelling perspective, and taking time to make the setting something you can feel.

It was just a GoPro Hero3. The rest was shot on a Canon Rebel T2i.

No pressure, but how long till the next instalment. Makes me feel like I'm in kindergarten at film making school.

Who's that nut job wearing gloves telling the story. I hope they don't let him fly a plane! He needs a little less coffee. :D

Rob's storytelling enthusiasm is one of the best parts!

Re: Episode 3 - Challenge Island

Really great video, thanks! I like the music and that you let us see the characters be themselves, relatively uncensored, so we get a truer sense of what was going on around the fire. It seems most people think violent films are ok but when it comes to profanity, well, that is just unacceptable. wtf?

Re: Episode 3 - Challenge Island

Wow, an awesome video, Very well produced and the BCP tag gives it a real professional feel. The guy with the M.J gloves spinning the BS and bustin the moves with the attitude looked Gangsta while keep'in it real with the profanity was awesome, He needs to be a regular =D> Man, when I see that video it really puts it in to perspective how lucky we are and much fun we can have with these incredible machines. Now I'm gonna go back and watch it again!

Re: Episode 3 - Challenge Island

Fantastic video!!! Wow is all I have to say. And to think, you did it all without that annoying "fast forward" effect. Please keep 'em coming and by the way, where's episodes 1 and 2?

Best,
O-2
