Very nicely done. Spectacular scenery and good music editing to boot. Can't wait for your next one.

Re: Exploring Alaska (The Film)

Great video Greg! I can't wait to get there. I'm not sure that it will be this year #-o

I like the idea of the post landing debrief on camera. If even for the sake of post production. I wish I would've kept a better journal of my trip out west and back. I need to do something with that footage!

Again, nice work.

Nice video. When you landed at May Creek you were just three minutes away from my home on the flanks of Sourdough Mountain. Drop in next time.

Very good video Greg. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Didn't seem like 25 minutes at all.

Re: Exploring Alaska (The Film)

Great video. I admire you guys that can shoot and edit and keep it interesting. I get to fly to anchorage with big tires but they are on a big airplane. Someday I will take my airplane to alaska but it will probably be after retirement. I've bummed a lot of rides while on layovers and never get tired of taking in alaska. That looks like a nicely equipped survival vest.

Great video and fantastic music. Thank you for sharing the adventure! I'm envious of that trip and the weather you found along the way. Videos like that have a tendency to cost me big $$$... :)

Hey Greg,

Wow what a great video. I'm ready to quit my job and move to AK now. I only need to convince the wife.. :?

Also thank you so much for mentioning your use of my Strut mount in the video. I was watching wondering then saw your mention in the credits. Best video thus far using my mount so thank you very much.

Take care,

Marc

Gun Street Girl by Tom Waits, from his album Rain Dogs. Great selection.
Check out the movie Down By Law sometime.

Dang Vizio TV doesn't have a Vimeo app. I'll watch it on the computer.

Re: Exploring Alaska (The Film)

I've been a Tom Waits fan since I attended his Small Change concert in the late 70s. I really like Nighthawks at the Diner, but Rain Dogs has some bonafide weird music. The track you chose was perfect for launching into this tour of Alaska though. Waits is unrefined and wild, so he fits Alaska very well. You managed to capture enough of that wildness to convince me to head north in my plane. I'm glad I moved back within striking distance after spending so much time in the Mid-Atlantic part of the country. Thanks for sharing the magic.

I'm just a simple man, but I want that airplane. No paint necessary.
