Extended Bush Gear installed!

Have you modified your aircraft? STC? STOL Kit? Major rebuild from just a data plate?

Extended Bush Gear installed!

I've had this gear for a while now but just haven't taken the time to install it. It's made by Airdale which used to be called AvidFlyer by a guy in Wisconsin who now owns the rights. It's 10" wider and 3" extended over stock and uses actual springs rather than bungee cords to support the aircraft. I still have to plumb the brakes but will have a report by the weekend. A big THANK YOU to Rob (Rob56) for driving over to help me out tonight. No way I could have done that by myself.

Original set up with mechanical go kart brakes and golf cart tires

After my first set of modified gear with matco brakes and a huge wheel and tire upgrade

After with the new gear

Re: Extended Bush Gear installed!

Congrats dude... that Avid is now a very serious looking "you wanna mess with me?" airplane with attitude =D>

I'll bet that just holding the stick back and letting it fly off three point will now give you a measurably shorter takeoff roll than you had before.
