This is why I turn my transponder on when flying in the back country. Hoping that they don't rear end me! I've seen F-16's, a C-141 and a P-3 all flying low level in my area. The F-16's and the C-141 were below 1000' agl!

The navy warbirds zoom down the mid Columbia gorge as fast as they can make the turns. About 20 yrs ago one of them was faster than that, and almost made the turn-and smeared himself on the wall. It was the turn by Quincy WA (just downstream and behind Crescent Bar Resort) that he didn't quite navigate.

I AM jealous of their fun, tho!

With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).

Whatcha' wanna bet that in the 5 minutes 48 seconds of the video, he burned as much fuel as all of us on BCP put together burn in a year?
