Not sure if this is the best place for this topic, but just got this notification and had not seen anything about this before.
Here is the site for more information. https://www.faa.gov/nextgen/equipadsb/rebate/

If you have trouble posting a picture or a you tube video here on BCP, you will be totally pissed off trying to work through the FAA ADS-B rebate. On the other hand if the a fore mentioned task are reasonable for you, you will get through the ADS-B stuff fine.

It doesn't look too complicated honestly, as Chris said just follow the steps exactly, and make sure it's installed right before you go if you're worried about taking multiple flights. At most I expect to chew through $60 worth of fuel even with a re-do, so $500 back for the effort seems like a good ROI to me. I don't quite get how anyone isn't breaking even on that equation unless you're doing this on something that makes turbine noises.
I've decided to go with the Lynx NGT-9000. The price I'm getting is too great to pass up, and it fits in line with my modernization goals for the aircraft in general. Plus I've flown with them in rentals a bunch now, and they really are all that and a bag of chips. I'm also working with L-3 (the manufacturer) on a small feature update that may of high interest to this crowd, so stay tuned.

The rebate program ends in september of this year so if you are thinking about it - now might be a good time...
