FAA Float video

This is a video on how to fly floats.....Good info surprisingly. Some good pics of Lk Hood in the old days early 1970's
Had to take A/C away from a few FAA 135 Check ride pilots over the years when they tried to demonstrate proper technique #-o Scared the hell out a few of them when asked for a short field water landing 8)

I don't remember seeing this one, but there's one about the same time period that used to cause some real guffaws in the audience. Guy pushes the float plane out into the lake, gets in, and the wind gradually pushes him farther from shore. He's out in the middle of the lake with nothing around him, has just finished his preflight checklist, then hollers out the window, "CLEAR!"
