FAA Registry phone number busy signal

My airplane is currently not registered!

There was a mixup in the paperwork or something during my aircraft sale transaction. The lender was supposed to submit my New Registration Application form, which I filled out and provided them with my loan docs. The lender has the Bill of Sale, too. I called my rep there and he said they usually just submit all the stuff through the title company and all works out...but not this time.

The seller submitted his form to notify the FAA of the sale of the aircraft, and he submitted the wrong address and wrong buyer name (my dad's name instead of mine, easy mixup since we both talked with him) so that is the info the FAA currently has.

I figured I could take care of this with a phone call, but the Registry's toll free number has been busy ALL MORNING. Has anyone here ever successfully gotten through to them?

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

I just got off the phone with the feds...looks like they're not the problem in this case, it's the lender or the title company...errrr!! I hate being at the mercy of others in situations like this.

Yeah, the old saying "if ya want something done right, do it yourself" really sez it all. That lender is gonna get his money anyways, so who cares if the paperworks wrong. It's not like this stuff is rocket science either....
Get on 'em Zane- kick some back-country ass!
