Father's Day Cards

Happy Father's Day to All!

It's awesome to be a Father and to have one. Some of my most cherished aviation moments involve family. I remember some years back, flying my Dad into Moose Creek. It was incredible.

Last year I was able to fly 5 of my kids into Moose Creek. What an experience. I hope to someday share the experience with the rest of my children, as well as my grandkids. (No I did not use a 150!, but I would have used flaps and sound energy management techniques)

I have enjoyed Grass Strip Pilot's Family Adventure as if it were my own. It's got to rate high on Backcountry's all time best list.

I plan on finishing my 182 project this year and let the camping begin!

Here are a couple cards from kids, and I encourage others to post. (you can even ask them to draw an aviation card)

My youngest drew the first one this year. We are landing in the mountains. It didn't matter that we are landing downwind, downhill, with the gear up, in a low wing aircraft. What matters is that we were together and we made it work!

That's awesome, Rich. Happy Father's day to you and all the dads here.

Until 2 years ago I really didn't have the full appreciation for the sacrifice; talk about life-changing. Of course there is no denying it is the most rewarding thing in the world.

Re: Father's Day Cards

Happy fathers day to all you dads! I love the cards!

I lost my dad back in 2007 and my father in law this last Friday. I miss them both but thankful to the time I had them.

I am having the time of my life with my kids, now in their late 20s. Building two homes, one for my daughter and one for son so I get to spend a lot of quality time with them.

Cheers...Rob
