It's awesome to be a Father and to have one. Some of my most cherished aviation moments involve family. I remember some years back, flying my Dad into Moose Creek. It was incredible.
Last year I was able to fly 5 of my kids into Moose Creek. What an experience. I hope to someday share the experience with the rest of my children, as well as my grandkids. (No I did not use a 150!, but I would have used flaps and sound energy management techniques)
I have enjoyed Grass Strip Pilot's Family Adventure as if it were my own. It's got to rate high on Backcountry's all time best list.
I plan on finishing my 182 project this year and let the camping begin!
Here are a couple cards from kids, and I encourage others to post. (you can even ask them to draw an aviation card)
My youngest drew the first one this year. We are landing in the mountains. It didn't matter that we are landing downwind, downhill, with the gear up, in a low wing aircraft. What matters is that we were together and we made it work!
