Anyone listen to podcasts? I've started listening to a few but haven't really found one I really like. The three I listen too are:

Stuck Mic:

Uncontrolled Airspace

Pilot's Journey

I like Pilots Journey the best but they don't record new ones very often. None of them talk about our kind of flying but it is still aviation. They all sorta get kind of excited when talking about mountains or tailwheels. Anyone have any others they recommend?

I think it'd be fun to record one of our own, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be very good at remaining professional. 8)

Hanging out with some pilots here in person, the stories are always great, but the best just can't be broadcast for fear of violation.

Start from the beginning with RadioLab. Produced by WNYC, absolutely fantastic.

Radiolab is awesome. It's whole 'nother level of radio production in an age that seems to not care much about creating an aural landscape with the medium. It would be cool to follow step with an aviation show.

I laughed a little to myself about this DP...a guy in AK listening to a surfing podcast.

Z, no need to remain professional. None of the podcasts I listen to are too professional. They try but it never works and that is part of the entertainment.

I like that one too. But they need to do em more often. The 1 non-Stu is a member on here, maybe he can recruit some colorful guests from the crowd?

'hangar flying podcast' is pretty good too

Professionally produced, and there are a variety of podcasts. My two favorites are Adam's Show and the Adam & Dr. Drew Show. Both are no holds barred, so little ears should not be in range.

Re: Favorite Podcasts

A few years ago I came across a podcast on iTunes called "The Finer Points - Aviation Podcast" by Jason Miller.

Very informative, easy to listen to, and free!

Re: Favorite Podcasts

I think if I tried to do a podcast, it would be able 45 seconds before I accidentally tried to show someone a video.

Flying podcasts sure are a better way to enjoy a long drive than anything that's on normal broadcast radio. Thanks for reminding me abou them.
