Amelia got her first long flight (40 minutes each way). She did excellent on the way down, unfortunately on the way back right after takeoff we hit a huge thermal that took me out of my seat. I think she thought she did something wrong, because she hunkered down on her seat and looked at me with the puppy dog eyes - why did you do that?

Diana,
Enjoyed your video with your furry one. I forwarded this to friends who have a 182 and a dog about that size. Got a kick out of the ear muffs coming off.
Thanks for sharing!

What kind of pup is she? She looks like a Malinois with that beautiful dark muzzle...

She is a Malinois - the lightest and smallest of a litter of 11! So far so good.

I love the Mali's. My 1 year old Flying Dutchman (Dutch Shepherd) is an airport regular but doesn't fit in my little Cub as well as my Aussie does.

My coon hound doesn't mind flying, but she knows the view from up there is all wrong for a dog. She faces the back of the plane once we get airborne. It helps that we go to a lot of grass strips where there is a lot to sniff once we arrive. She also dresses for the part!
