First self-piloted successful hunt

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

When I first read this I liked to imagine you found a secret compartment full of old aerial survey notes when you acquired the plane. Great write up and pictures!

Ha! Indeed. I initially wrote this for a Alaska-focused forum that I help with which primarily focuses on hunting and fishing. Writing a lot about the specific location, well... Besides, we were there because a friend shared the location with us, and I am not willing to publicly share information that others shared with me. If I find an area based on my own efforts, I'm much more apt to share those details than if I'm the guest of somebody else.

Of course, we would all love to know more about those crucial moments during the landing you practiced for so many times! But on the other hand, as a keen hunter I know the rules
