"first unread post" button

Been having an issue with the "first unread post" button on the threads. Quite often, when I click it, the screen jumps to the unread first post on the following page-- even when there are one or more unread posts on the page I was on. Anyone else having this trouble? It may be happening without you realizing,

I don't use that button, so I can't comment on it.

I will say that I've never had an issue with the orange button on the forum landing page. So my usage pattern is that I have a bookmark to here: https://www.backcountrypilot.org/community/forum/latest

Then I click on the tiny orange icon for the topic I want to read and I land at the first unread message.

Never even noticed that icon, let alone knew what it was for. Tried it and it worked!
I usually click the "view new posts" on the drop-down view options menu. That little icon comes up on threads with unread posts, so I guess that's my new way to surf the site. Thanks!

This crowdsourced technical support is working out well. Thanks.

I was sitting here trying to find what you guys were talking about...until I realized you have to log in first. That is slick, thank you.

Re: "first unread post" button

I have gotten old and rotted enough that it pays for me to always start from the first page.
At least for the first two or three - after that i would still be lost by the end of page 4. #-o
