Just got back from our two day trip to Fish Lake. Decent fishing, found a good place to pitch a tent, hiked until our feet were ready to come off, broke open a 21 yr old single malt scotch, and had a good time all around. Just a few things to note: Bring bug spray... by the gallon! Mosquitos are thick in the morning and evening. Almost all the wood you're going to find (which isn't a great deal to begin with) within any reasonable distance is wet, so fires are a challenge. Earlier posts regarding condition are accurate, grass is tall and if you're running small tires and plan to stay anymore than overnight, move the plane, the ground is soft and it will sink a bit. Again, a really fun trip, and will go later in the summer next time to avoid a few of those bloodsuckers!
