Fishing the Middle Fork

My plans have came together kinda late, but it looks like me and a buddy are going to go try to catch a fish tomorrow.

I have only fished in the Big Creek drainage before, but I am thinking we will try the Middle Fork this time. Does anyone have any advise?

I have not been into any of these, but am thinking Indian Creek, Thomas Creek, or Lower Loon. We will only stay for the day and not be camping, so close access to the river would be nice.

Any thoughts?

thanks

Indian Creek is right next to the river. Has bathrooms, too. Not sure how the fishing is though. Have fun where ever you go!! The weather should be perfect this weekend.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Try Thomas creek. I caught fish downstrream from the strip where the river splits just above the hot springs. Don't know how much down the river is at this time of year but it was pretty good fishing when I was there. Also up stream at the hot springs but that's about a mile hike if your up for it. Upper loon is great fishing but that's not the middle fork.
