Wow,
I thought this was a federal mandate. I will have to do a bit of reading and start writing some letters. I am not an ethanol fan (who is?).
Thank you for the post.

It was also my understanding that there are federal ethanol/gasoline mandates. Maybe there's state mandates also. Just because Florida "repealed" ethanol doesn't mean it's gone. Here's an example....Port Townsend where I live is run by a bunch of old hippies, and their city council has declared Port Townsend a nuclear free zone. What's funny (and what prompted this) is that the USN Naval Magazine Indian Island is located right across Port Townsend Bay from town, they "provide operational ordnance logistics in support of Navy, Joint, and Allied Forces". They won't say whether or not they have nukes stored there, but nuclear powered ships (including Ohio class submarines) do tie up there to load or offload munitions.

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!
Just bought some no-ethanol 94 octane, though I think my low-comp 150hp 320 doesn't know the difference between that and 91. Wondering about my other motor, injected 0-360 9:1 compression, any reason to worry about running 94 octane in that?
Bunch of helicopter guys running the 94 in their Robbies. They report a lot less lead problems in their spark plugs. So much that even at the same price they'd rather run the 94.

This is the way your friends at the oil company operate.
“Consumers who want a higher grade ethanol blend (E15) are being denied that choice” due to oil companies refusing to ship the blendstock for E15 that is necessary during the summer months.
“We’re not asking for something that doesn’t exist,” said Monte Shaw. “The gasoline blendstock we need to make E15 in the summer is available, it flows through the very pipeline system that services Iowa, but they will not let us take it out of the pipeline here.”
