Fly Husky dot com
Technical and practical discussion about specific aircraft types such as Cessna 180, Maule M7, et al. Please read and search carefully before posting, as many popular topics have already been discussed.
I have been daydreaming a bit about buying a Husky so a year or so ago I joined Fly Husky dot com to do some reading and get more info. I've been occasionally reading the forum posts there and see a couple of names that I recognize from BCP. Hence my post here, hoping one of you can answer my question.
A couple of weeks ago I received an email from Fly Husky dot com telling me that I "did not meet the requirements" to be a member there and that my account had been deleted. I responded to the email asking what I needed to do to "meet the requirements" but I did not get a response. I went to the website and sent a message vie the "contact us" button asking the same thing but I did not get a response.
So.. what's up? Am I too good looking to be a member there? Is my lack of Husky ownership an issue? My lack of forum posts? Is it because I rode in a Supercub last month and somebody reported me?
It's not that big of a deal but I'm wondering why they won't even respond to me. What does one have to do to be a member over there?
Sincererely,
Banished

Kg, I did the same as you; joined Husky as well as Maule, Kitfox, GlasAir and 2nd Cessna (180/185) site while deciding what BC plane I wanted. No trouble with flyhusky.com. Fast forward 1 year plus and I bought a Husky; but, never had any issues with website. AND, I am not any kind of IT guy. If you don't get a resolution soon PM me and I'll try for you. FlyHusky.com is a very good site for info. Read it almost as much and BCP.

May have been cleaning house with inactive accounts. I don't recall hearing that it was an exclusive site.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
I’m a member there and have not heard of such a thing. There was a time when the website was redirecting you to a nonfunctional site, but this sounds totally different. It’s a small community over there, but there are good husky specific tips.

I am assuming this is what happened. Maybe something automatic since I have never posted anything on their forums. I just signed up and started lurking. I think I'll sign up again and see what happens.

Please do! And this time contribute something, a trip report, interesting place to fly or ask some Husky questions. Good bunch of people over there. I do know the administrator/site owner approves each membership request and it may take a few days. My brother registered and it took a couple days. If you don’t get a response in a couple days, let me know and I will give him a ping.

I like your airplane better.
Wait a minute....
Which brother is this again????
KG, it took me a few days as well as I recall when I signed up too. I am guessing as mentioned above your account was a victim of housekeeping.
It's a fun airplane. There is some good info on the site.
