Flying M (Oregon)

I made this video to show a friend, but figured I would post it here. Flying M is still open for business although the runway has been cut in half, at least the owners of the other half cleared the crap out of the way so its a 1000' runway with essentially 1000' of overrun. This was from back in August, but since being snowed in the past few days I've had a bit of free time to edit some video. As much as I like to ski, I sure can't wait to get back to summer :D

Nice!

Maybe we could have a BCP fly in breakfast at Flying M sometime in the spring/summer?

I've always wanted to go in there. MMV crew meets there often but unfortunately it's one of the verboten strips on the Twin Oaks rental agreement, so maybe I can catch a ride with a local. B)

At 2:25 there's a good overhead shot of the strip:

Ha, yeah when I was flying 599CC with Ron from Twin Oaks, I tried get him to let me take it in there but yeah... [-X
We did go over to North Plains Glideport, so at least that was cool.

If we make it happen, I'll gladly pick you up anytime, and who knows maybe it could happen sooner than later as I think they are open year round.

Is the (new?) owner doing anything with the lodge building? That's quite a facility, not to mention the bunkhouse hotel and all the cabins. A bunch of us from PT did a couple different weekend trips there and had a lotta fun.
