Flying Magazine Contest

Flying Magazine has just launched a new contest called: "Flying Is...". The goal is to build enthusiasm for GA across the population, especially with non-pilots. With additional enthusiasm and excitement, perhaps more people will consider taking up flying. Part of the contest is to create a video between 30 seconds and 3 minutes long that serves this goal. If someone from BCP doesn't win this, I'll be disappointed! My videos are like bad home movies - they serve to inform family and are of interest to a few close friends, but they aren't competition worthy. Some folks on this website have produced some jaw dropping works of video art though, so get to work!

Re: Flying Magazine Contest

I just can't support Flying magazine in any way after last year's "jackass" article about off-airport flying that blew up in the editor's face. At least one BCP member was threatened with legal action by Flying Mag based on their comments here. Who wants to contribute to that?

The winner is the person with the most stories when he dies, not the most gold.

The thread was called "Jack ass effect" and it has been quarantined (closed and locked).

It started with a very unflattering article written by Robert Goyer for flying magazine, on December 18, 2012.
