Flying the 170 out to Montana & Idaho, pt 1

Here’s part one of my summer trip out to Montana & Idaho. My girlfriend & I planned a 2 week trip from WV - MT & vidited family, friends & backcountry strips. We had a blast & I can’t wait to get back out there. I’m getting started on Part 2 now, so if you like it stick around for the rest. We did plenty of hiking, fly fishing, sitting in hot springs, riding in Landcruisers & meeting great aviation & backcountry peeps.

I make videos for family and friends, but also share it with everyone, so feel free to leave feedback for improvement.

Also here’s some photos from the trip for any interested.

Great picts & vid of what looks like a real fun trip . You got a little taste of typical weather in the Breaks , you'll know what you might expect next time . Glad you didnt get gumbo’ed in at Cow Creek for a few or more days .

Thanks, yes I was worried about the hail, but i was really worried about the rain turning the runway into muck also. I'm glad it missed us and the runway stayed solid.

You live in an amazing place! I wasn't fortunate enough to meet Ben Ryan, but I read everything the RAF has shared about him and he seems like an amazing person with a love for aviation and the outdoors. I am beyond appreciative for what he has shared for the future generations!!

Here is the Second part of our trip out west!!! Like any trip, there is way more to be told. I choose to not film a lot of the time so I can just relax and take it all in, those are the stories left to be told around campfires. We met so many amazing people at every location and that is something I am truly grateful for (thanks to the aviation community.)
