I went to the Discovery Channel website and saw some previews---looks like it should be pretty interesting.

Another series, "Alaska Wing Men" on NatGeo started last week in the US. Watched the first 3 episodes so far . . . even with the usual bits of TV sensationalism, it's still a worthwhile watch.

As far as I know it was only a 3 episode special and there won't be anymore shows.

Watched it, really enjoyed it, amazing operation they have going. Glad to hear from those who know that they are the real deal and good people.
Maybe it was the angle of the shots, but was that hunter infil a bit dramatized? Surface didn't look that bad and it didn't ~look~ nearly as short as they were saying.

Yeah, it looked longer than 2 stripes to me too. Airdropping gear was a little suspect I thought, and the 207 looked pretty overweight on take off. Better than 90% of what's on tv though. I guess they need more drama than just a dippy girl not knowing which way the wind is blowing.

if anybody asks, we played poker...
I thought it was great! This is exactly the type of viewing I could occupy my couch time with. It wasn't as dramatic as I'd expected. Twice as good as Ice Pilots in my opinion. You have to make a show interesting for people who aren't airplane people, and I think they did a fine job of that without entering the Jersey Shore/Ice Pilots territory.
I'm sorry Jim, but Ariel is as cute as a button.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
Watched it tonight also. I like it.

I think the perky little Eskimo chick is featured primarily to hook the teens and dirty old men.

Ariel was on a Wipeout episode a few years ago.
Anything to get into show biz I guess.

Pretty cool seeing Don Lee on AK wingmen...I liked that show a lot better than the other. Flyng wild was begging from drama. The wingmen show was pretty straight forward and real not that the other was not....just my opinion. Hard not to like Don lee's teaching the young kid, Paul Klauses cub flying, etc. Seemed a bit more realistic rather than a show looking for drama and trying to make some up with broken rudders, bag drops, etc. Will watch both however...good flying by both.
I wonder what kind of cameras they had on the wings and how long it took to get the STC's...They were deffinetly not GoPro's.
Next weeks show looks good for both of them.
