Re: FORD?????

I thought he was quite a long ways from where the quake hit.

Re: FORD?????

I'm sure he's fine. I think he lives in a glorified tent anyway, not much to fall and crush him.

Re: FORD?????

Just as I thought. dug through som private mesages that I received from him "Kept a trailer on the
East Cape from '85 to'96 and then we bought the place we are in now. 2 miles north of Cabo Pulmo."

He should be fine. I am more worried about Iceman.

Re: FORD?????

It has taken me this long to crawl out of the fissure I was thrown into. Acutally we felt nothing as we are about 700 miles, direct, below the epicenter. I can't belive I missed this thread but better late than never. As usual, Zane was incorrect. We were not in a tent but in a palapa, see pic.

We have started the countdown for our migration northward, will be towards the end of this month. Still no plans on where we will be stopping except that I will be having my annual done in Carson City, NV again. The interesting news is that we reserved a motorhome, yes, motorhome, starting June 2nd for a week. We will be picking it up in Anchorage, AK and touring around. We are looking for a good source for his/her jumpsuits so that we will fit in. The plan is to fly the 185 from home to Anchorage and after the motorhome adventure, we will wheel/camp our way back south.

I had previously commented on insurance and flying to Alaska. I was incorrect as I just read my policy with AIG and it states that I am covered in the political boundaries of the USA what ever that means. I guess the restrictions are when I was on floats. My insurance coverage will renew June 15 and at that time I will still be on wheels so I don't anticipate any problems. When we get home I will switch to floats and things will be different.

That's all folks. FF

Hey Ford,
Let me know when you cross the border Northbound. I have all the maps etc., for your Yukon/Ak trip you can use.

Re: FORD?????

Dave, will let you know and we may stop in your neighborhood, not sure yet. Chart wise are you talking air or ground? I doubt we will drive outside of AK and I think I have most of the Nav Canada charts, especially for the Yukon and NWT. Later,
