Franklin Engine Updates?

I'm thinking about a Stinson or a C170, and saw some posts about a year ago about Franklin Engines coming back to life. Well, three websites pop up. A Polish company with bad grammar offering new engines (put down a deposit and maybe you will get an engine), a company in Texas with an incomplete website, and the site I think everyone was talking about. The third sight makes it seem like at least the STCs (and maybe the company) is for sale? What happened to the plans for them making new engines at a semi-reasonable price?

Anybody know what the true story is with Franklin? It would be great to have some more competition in this market. Plus, Stinsons seem like a steal at around $20k, and it would be comforting to know that parts are available in case the engine craps out.

Thanks!

Texas connection is Susan 903-626-5210 or 903-626-5115 she's a straight shooter who knows where all the parts for Franklin engines are -and can get them. Guy (dirtbag ) in Ft. Collins is a maggot -says he has all the stuff --- NOT EVEN CLOSE ! Place in North Carolina is going to be producing Franklin Engines and parts --with Susan's Help. Polish folks will take your money (connected to Ft.Collins,Co. weirdo) and NEVER deliver a product. There's a 170a with a 165 hp Franklin for sale at Boulder Airport. Stinson's are all over the AZ50 (Triangle Air-park) . Most popular Franklin engines are 150 or 165 hp-SMOOTH as silk .Stinson's are the "Cadillac of the air" --will out haul a Cessna 180 and are true Cow pasture /off Field airplanes without compromise.108-3 has a bigger tail and more docile ----Univar owns the rights to all the Stinson's stuff now. We've got a 108-2 that is Primo and for Sale. :D

Re: Franklin Engine Updates?

It's been a few months since I checked, however, the STC's for Cessnas, etc., that were/are held by the Ft. Collins people, are still listed with them as owners, therefore, they are not available via Susan Prall's company? Susan has been buying lots of Franklin parts from all over thge US. Spoke w/ Superior, no knowledge of making new jugs? as per some rumors?
