FS: 1950 Cessna 170A

I got the Call, starting with the majors in March. Need to make adjustments in my lifestyle so putting up the 170 for sale.
Around 3350tt, 50SMOH, 60SPOH, new millennium cylinders, over $55,000 in receipts, May 2015 annual. 180 gear, Cleveland brakes, P Ponk gear boxes, new 1 piece windshield, new Windows, Scott Tailwheel, icom A200 radio, 2 new antennas, paint is old but looks classic, seats are in good shape but rest of interior could use TLC. Great for a back country flyer. Flew it yesterday, she flew great, smooth and level. Asking $33,000. She has $18,000 alone in the motor.
PM for more info and pictures.

Congratulations on getting the call to the majors. Good luck with that and selling your plane. Sounds like a nice airplane.

Thank you. It's been a long road. I got out of the army in 1989 then started flying. One great thing about aviation is that you never know where it will take you. Met some great people. Might be 2 or 3 years but I'll get another one.

I was wondering why playing baseball in the majors would cause you to sell your bird, but then figured it out.

Have fun. Looks like a nice plane. Sure it will be taken off your hands really soon.

Alcohol Anonymous. Or that what I hear Doug Parker calls it.

I might have it sold, I put it on eBay. Do you know where I can get the form needed to transfer ownership?

Call the FSDO. I forget the form numbers but you need two: a bill of sale and an application for registration.
One of them has a place on the inner (carbon) copy which must be signed in ink, so check them over carefully.

The old carbon paper multi copy form is obsolete. Now-a-days you can download the 8050-A from FAA's site and fill it out by hand. The language is weird and you must pay attention to it as you fill it out. No copies of signatures are allowed, it must all be in the original. FAA in OK city will send it back for the slightest error.

http://www.faa.gov/documentLibrary/medi ... 8050-2.pdf

"I have set my hand and seal, or We had set our hand and seal this seventh or 7th day or January 2016 etc.

dealer certificate number--none or N/A

And to these, or this executors administrators and assigns etc etc

I have seen these sons of biscuits filled out with the seller instead of the purchaser in the first block, printed instead of signed in the new owner blocks and copies filled out and copied on the xerox. OK City will turn it around guaranteed. I had to get on a commercial flight to go back and track down several previous owners to get the 8050 filled out right. One of the guys was over 90 y/o. The aircraft had not been properly registered for over 20 years!

Welcome to AA, I have been there for 30 years. FYI, the 737 program is fantastic if you get the 737. Great instructors and check airmen. Don't know much about the 320 program but from what I have heard it is good too.
