Easily reverse a couple of "field approved" modifications, schedule your inspection, I cancel the US registration, and...voila!

Can I not import with field approvals? Do the dual puck and BAS equipment have the option of stcs? I may have to make some calls. What's your fuel burn aprx?

Honest Abe answering here :P I would love nothing better than to sell it to one of my brothers or sisters in Canada, but: The BAS stuff, the one piece windshield, the oil filter kit, the LED landing lights and the VGs were all via STC and could stay AFaIK. The tires and brakes were field approvals and would not be accepted by TCCA for sure and would have to be put back to some condition acceptable to them. I'd have to research the instrument panel I can't remember. The engine conversion is on the US FAA type certificate data sheet and predated (installed in the 60's) the current regulatory scheme surrounding supplemental type certificates, so I would think it would be deemed acceptable.

I flight plan for 9 gph @2500rpm leaned out and at reasonable altitude.

Re: FS: 1955 Cessna 170B

Cool beans. Thanks. I have imported before and it wasn't that bad. Ill call my guy up and see what we can do, I'd sure like to keep the double pucks on if at all possible. But I would probly go to bigger tires. But here I go getting ahead of myself.
Thanks for yoye honesty. I would PM you but I'm on tapatalk and it won't work yet.

Re: FS: 1955 Cessna 170B

I think I found an A&P/IA near me here who is also a commercial pilot with 170 time who can move the plane. Hopefully will be happening soon if anyone north of the border is still interested in buying it.

In case this falls through if anyone out there with the quals to both do the annual inspection in place and ferry the plane is interested in the work, PM me. I'm only interested if you can do both.

Re: FS: 1955 Cessna 170B

Sorry, I've been out of pocket. It's at Flying Cloud Airport having an annual finished and a few minor squawks addressed. I'll be advertising it again on Barnstormers soon but yes it's still for sale.

Bump. I've edited the original post to indicate new annual, new location and new price.

It all looks good, "from a distance".

Noticeably better. When the prop was standard (been a few years) I was seeing cruise at around 108-110 knots at 2500rpm. It has a climb prop on it now, at 3000MSL on a cool day I would regularly get off the ground under 300 feet with myself and half fuel on board. Twenty more horses at only a slightly higher engine weight.

Congratulations. I hope all's well, and that you've got something else online for getting airborne.

Thanks buddy. I need a drink, not sure if it's for toasting, or for the other reason ;)

For now we have a fairly nice boat to spend our money on, since we live on the island for half the year, and rental aircraft available at KMEV for when we are out that way.
