No, he is pointing out that the GAMI stuff is going to cost way more than 100LL. I agree with the OP's concerns. I am semi-open minded that removing lead may be good for our engines. However, I need a drop-in replacement for my 8.6:1 IO470 (wish they made even higher compression!). And, it should cost less not more than 100LL. As far as GA spewing out tons of contaminants into poor neighborhoods, I am not buying it.

It always amazes me with the hypocrisy of some people especially here!
They will tell you how evil you are and how you are selfish you are polluting our air and water!
They will go on and on about how what you are doing is destroying the planet, causing global warming etc. and that if you don't stop then everyone will die!
Some People here will tell you how bad you are because you are flying an airplane spewing lead and how stupid you are that you don't even realize how much better the world would be if only you would understand the "Green" way of thinking!

I personally don't think the amount of lead from airplanes does squat to adversely affect our lives.


If any of you (people arguing for GAMI) really and truly thought that the lead was doing any actual damage then SHAME on you for flying all these years!
