Georgetown, CA (E36)

Anyone camped there lately? I saw a note on Airnav from last November 2012 saying that the campground and bathrooms are open again. Last time I was there was before 2002, so any updates would be much appreciated. Thanks.

CAVU

Edit: I spoke with the airport manager. He said the bathrooms in the campground are currently being repaired, but doesn't have an estimated time for completion. Bathrooms in the hangars (east side) are open. No showers. Airplanes park on the ramp on east side and carry gear across the runway to the campground. No parking by the campground.

Re: Georgetown, CA (E36)

I stopped by Georgetown on Friday. As CAVU noted in his edit, the bathroom is still closed and the water is still turned off. The bathrooms on the ramp are still open and working. The fire ring looks good and even has some firewood waiting for your use. The fish pond was filled in a couple of years ago as part of a runway safety area improvement.

Still looks like a great place for a night of airplane camping.
