Girdwood and Seldovia plowed in winter?

Anyone know if Girdwood and Seldovia are plowed in the winter? I’d like to fly into each with my daughter and her husband this week in my 172 while it’s sunny but we’ve had so much snow. Thanks!

There is also weather cams at seldovia.
Was kinda icy last time I went. Two weeks or so ago. But still very doable and beautiful as expected.

Girdwood is plowed in the winter, but it sometimes takes them some time to get it done. It also takes them some time to do the taxiway areas so there might not be a place to park the plane if you do fly in. Better give it some time if there was a big snowfall at Alyeska recently.
You might try calling Alpine Air Alaska or Chugach Powder Guides who operate daily out of there for current runway conditions.

Good info. Thanks much. The time has past this time to fly the kids from Homer to Girdwood but I never know when they’ll call up and ask me to come get them and take them skiing! It doesn’t take much persuading to get me to fly down to Homer from the Wasilla area to see the grandkids.

Grandkids are the best!
