Gun control: Check. Intelligent people can disagree on what the founders intended there.
Abortion: Check. Religious issue. Someone who believes that a fully right-endowed life begins at conception is never going to see eye to eye with people who don't believe that.
Crosses: This one is a small surprise. The ACLU generally fights for equal access (e.g. see the Festivus pole currently in the state capital of Wisconsin). Here's an example of them fighting to *keep* religious symbols that a local government is demanding removal of (
https://www.aclu.org/religion-belief/ac ... s-cemetery). There is a rumor that's been around for a long time about them suing to remove some symbols. It's not true (
http://www.snopes.com/politics/religion/cemetery.asp). But, yeah, they have fought to not have the ten commandments in courts, for example, since we don't live in a theocracy and the constitution specifically prohibits such nods towards specific deities.
