Glider towing...in 1/4 scale

That Wilga looks so cool...haha. Even is equipped with a radial.

Re: Glider towing...in 1/4 scale

Zane, I dont think it is a radial, but is a twin. She just dont have the sound of the RCS / Moki radial. I could be wrong but it just does not sound right. I have a few 30-35% RC planes with the same set up (had a 40% but it was too much of a pain in the ass to transport). At any rate, the Wilga does look cool and I am gonna have to check it out more and see what kit that is and add it to the collection.

Towing gliders is fun when all goes right, but if you have a rookie glider pilot it can get real exciting real quick! My first few attempts I did not have a release on my tow plane only on the glider end of the string. I got lots of practice (unneeded practice) at major airframe repairs due to it. Once you have it down and the glider pilot does not try to jerk ya out of the sky, it looks pretty damn cool for the crowd.

Obviously fake.

Those are real airplanes in a land of big, fat giants who force their captive pilots to fly. I saw the TV series when I was a kid.

Hahaha Gump...

Avidflyer...I think you are right. I didn't look too closely originally, and just assumed it was running one of these:
